Catching The Light

A piece of colored glass sitting on my bedroom windowsill catches the sunlight and sparkles. That’s its job.

It reminds me of how I feel after trudging through the deep snow of my hardships to emerge on windowsills of decision making: finances, parenting, relationships, career, health, civic duties, etc.  Then as has happened so many times before, the sunlight of clarity and gratitude splashes all over me and I shine almost as if doing so is my job.

Saved by the light of your friendship, your engagement, and your trust, I leap from the windowsills with my chin up and land here in this blog of encouragement. If you keep reading, I’ll keep writing, and together we can reflect the light that sustains us.
